I have made a great many mistakes since starting to work online, and this one really is a great embarrassment to me but particularly as a beginner, you need to avoid it. I will tell you about the costliest mistake here.<\/p>\n

I remember when I started to wonder how anyone made any money on the internet, let alone bags of it. I had come across claims of fortunes to be made, the power of the internet and the need for businesses to have a website. But having made a website about the craft shop that never made a bean<\/strong>, I couldn’t see how it was done.<\/p>\n I wanted to know how to make money on the internet and started searching for answers.<\/strong><\/p>\n The amount of information that appears when you start searching is huge – and was huge even then. So were the warnings and the obvious scams. Some of the scams were not so obvious though and I signed up to several newsletters. I sometimes read them and they had loads of advice and loads of methods but I would skip and jump to the next, trying to identify the sound advice and never fully taking the information in.<\/p>\n That’s when I started buying. And that’s when I started getting…<\/p>\n It was exciting, confusing, tiring…..oh so tiring. Everything was becoming very untidy. My head, my computer, my ideas – I thought I would burst<\/strong>. Every day was worse than the last.<\/p>\n I did get better at weeding out the complete and utter rubbish – I was becoming an expert at identifying the best courses and tools. But it was Too Much information – information overload. I was so confused – I didn’t know where to start – the offers kept coming and now I needed something FAST.<\/p>\n The more I spent, the more important the FAST SOLUTION became. I was getting into debt<\/strong>. I thought I didn’t have enough time, I was becoming desperate<\/strong> and wanted a quick solution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Sometimes I would make a start but it was all taking too long – I looked at the next big thing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Aargh!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n Here’s the funny thing about all this and perhaps the good part in the end – I WAS learning stuff – I was gaining knowlege. I was even beginning to see the big picture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n And the worst part? No, bad as that is, it’s not the debt. If only I had started using the good advice. The Most Costly Mistake is Two-fold:<\/p>\n Why do I say this is the most costly mistake a beginner can make? Well, not only are you spending over and over again, you are losing the money you could have made in the time wasted while spending it.<\/strong><\/p>\n If you have a hard drive full of stuff already – STOP buying more and make use of what you have and whatever system you go with, let your personality be behind it. \nSo many emails to go through, so much stuff to read – usually at night after working all day.<\/p>\nIt was verging on chaos.<\/h3>\n
\nAnd I bought<\/strong> them.\u00a0 I bought some very good ones.<\/p>\n
\nI was learning so much – but I wasn’t putting it into practice!<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nIf only I had followed through on any of the projects I started.<\/p>\nFailing to make a start and Failing to follow through.<\/h3>\n
